One of the most characterful birds on the British Isles, the Grouse can seldom be seen, but more often heard with its unique call. Found in uplands covered in heather this beautiful bird will spring out of the undergrowth like a whirlwind, or be seen in the distance, standing upon a rock - singing (yelling!) for all to hear. 

This hand cut lino print captures the beautiful yet dumpy bird - proud in its feathers.
